Piano Tuner in Issaquah-My Story
Sometimes clients find me through Google or through a recommendation. But this story started differently — with a routine visit to a dental office in Issaquah.
While waiting for my appointment, I started talking with another patient sitting next to me. We talked about work, and I mentioned that I’m a professional musician and piano technician. When I mentioned that I work as a piano tuner in Issaquah and throughout the Eastside, our conversation naturally turned to music.
He told me about a piano at home that hadn’t been tuned in quite some time. We talked for a few minutes, I left my contact information, and went on with my day. I didn’t expect anything to come of it.
But some time later, he called me.
When I arrived at his home in Issaquah and opened the piano, I remembered our conversation in the waiting room. Now the piano we had talked about was right in front of me.
As I worked, the sound gradually changed. The unisons became cleaner, the chords more settled, and the piano began to find its voice again.
For me, piano tuning in Issaquah, or anywhere else, means more than bringing every note to the correct pitch. I’m a musician first, so after tuning, I like to sit down and play the instrument myself.
That’s when I listen as a musician — to the chords, the balance between registers, the response to touch, and the piano as a whole.
That day, I played for a few minutes and thought about how interesting these connections can be. I had simply gone to the dentist, and one unexpected conversation led me to another piano in Issaquah. That’s one of the things I enjoy most about my work. Behind every piano are people, their music, their memories, and their own little story.
